When a child is removed from their home, the experience is traumatic and their world feels out of control. Kids deserve to be safe and feel safe. When done right, foster care provides that. Whether a child is in care temporarily, waiting to be reunified with their family, or needs care longer term, your support will
- Help cover extracurricular fees, like class trips, sports registration, prom, and driver’s ed for a child in care so they don’t miss out on being a kid
- Provide transportation, like bus tickets or gas cards, to parents for visiting their children and attending other appointments essential to rebuilding and reunifying their families
- Purchase beds and bedding for caregivers when accepting an unexpected placement of children
- Help recruit loving foster families for children in need of care—we need 25 new families this year!
